Ok, gents, let’s jump right into it. What is the world’s best road for enthusiastic … or better yet … fanatic Porsche drivers? That is one of the most important questions we could ask ourselves, and here at 911 nation, we’re … well … more than eager to answer it, and to know where you stand on the matter. It’s time to take sides … No, not really. In the end we love them all. So let’s start with the basics.
What makes a good driving road? Is it long empty straightaways that beg for maximum acceleration? Or is it narrow serpents that threaten the car’s suspension and handling? The Mosel in germany? Or the BMTN in Virginia. Is it the …road in North Carolina, or the Pacific Highway? I suppose in the end it depends on what you are looking. The great thing about taking on this behemoth of an issue is that there is probably no one right answer. Certainly we all have our picks (i know I have mine … for now), and those probably vary greatly from one driver to the next. But that’s the beauty of it.  In the end by sharing our favorites, its more for everyone.
So instead of me making the case for why I think one road is better, faster, more challenging than another. I’m hoping that my posing the question serves more as a means to an end, than the end itself. And that ‘means’ is to spark a dialogue with our readers and to get people talking roads. Yes I have told you what I think, but, more importantly, I want to know what you all think. So with that said, we urge you to sign up for our feed and submit a comment with your selections. Once enough people share their opinion, I will pick the 5 most popular roads, and conduct a poll to see who gets the top spot. Don’t worry … the others won’t be too far behind. Since it wouldn’t be worth just having the one option, and since we cherish the multiplicity of potential driving experiences that are out there, 911nation will profile the top 5 by dedicating an entire post to each one during a month-long period (with all kinds of the good stuff in between).
We will start with a profile of each road by providing vital stats, location and other basic yet relevant info … and, of course, loads of sweeet! pics. For all you hard-core readers, we’ll roll up our sleeves and try to get technical as well. And finally, we will describe what makes each one so special, including what we think are the advantages and disadvantages of each. uccess in this mission however starts with you … our readers. So don’t be shy … Dare to share … and let us know your pick for the world’s best driver’s road …
